Nightstalkers players rejoice, the Void Lurker is here and boy is the kit nice and also easy to assemble! Check out this quick assembly video…
Let the evil monstrosity from another dimension bring terror to your opponents forces!

Having received a nightmarish delivery, I sat down with the new hard plastic Butchers/Ravagers & Reapers/Tormentors sprues as well as the new resin Void Lurker kit and did a little showcase/review.
As an avid Wargamer and commission painter I see a lot of kits from a lot of different companies and even though I am a fan of the Mantic Games offering I can still be honest and critical as I can’t help but compare products to those from other companies. Because of this when I say these kits are phenomenal, I mean they are PHENOMENAL! The plastic sprues are clean and the details are crisp. The parts are clearly labelled for easier assembly and they even include scenic pieces to help decorate your Multibases! The resin, as with the plastics, are crisp casts which really showcases the details of this incredible miniature!

On the day when the world welcomes the arrival of Warhammer: Horus Heresy 2.0 and everyone is going #hardforheresy in 32mm scale I have decided to unleash the 8mm scale Horus Heresy as the God Machines march to war in Adeptus Titanicus!
My project for Adeptus Titanicus will be a Traitor Legios…Krytos the God Breakers!

Krytos during the Horus Heresy marched to war alongside the Space Marines of the IVth Legion…the siege specialists known as the Iron Warriors as well as the Knights of House Caesarean! Presented below is the first Titan for my Battlegroup. This Reaver Class Titan that I’ve named Zagthuis Ironfiend was a joy to paint. It has magnatised carapace and arm mounted weapons allowing for me to change the load out between games.

Starting out work on our new Studio Chaos Eightpoints Gaming Board for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar with 2 Tainted Wyldwoods!
Using pieces from our various Warhammer Bits Boxes, slate, skulls, chain, 3d printed trees and some awesome bases from Counter Attack Bases we cobbled together a couple of these for our board… Check out the video below to see the finished Wyldwood!

As for most, the past few years have been a difficult one. We’ve had our ups and downs, we’ve suffered losses and big changes but it’s high time that we dust off our paint stations and gaming areas to commence on the journey in the hobby once more…onwards and upwards, always!
So with that in mind I laid out some challenges for myself and the Studio Group and we are coming back strong! First up we’ll take a look at some personal challenges in the hobby…

As well as these projects I’d like to work on not 1, but 2…well maybe 3 Warhammer: Age of Sigmar projects. After running a poll on Instagram and Facebook it was decided that I would work on Kharadron Overlords and my son decided he wanted me to help him work on an Ossiarch Bonereapers army…well that’s 2 so why did you mention 3? I hear you call! Well we both decided on a shared army for both of us to use and that is, well a surprise up our sleeves!! As well as that we picked up the new Realmscape Ghurish Expanse plus the expansion set to give us a gaming board for the studio using the new dimensions and are building terrain for both sides of it starting with an eightpoints side pictured below.

That’s it for now, hopefully you are all dusting off your collections and your hobbyverses are returning to some form of normality. Onwards and Upwards one and all – The Iron Jarl

Welcome one and all, it has been a long time since I have written anything on here… To be honest it is a long time since I picked up a paintbrush for something other than scenery!
I managed to injure my back, at my then real life job, which during the first few months limited how long I could sit/stand but now with good pain management in place I am able to sort for longer! Me and a group of friends also launched a gaming club and this took up a lot of my initial time and so Ironskull Gaming and our Studios focused on the terrain needs for the club… Now however I’m hoping to get more hobby done! And so onto the topic for this blog post!

Burrows and Badgers is an Anthropomorphic Animals Skirmish Wargame by Oathsworn Miniatures. This is an awesome little skirmish Wargame with a brilliant campaign system to boot. The models are absolutely stunning and superbly cast. All the rules for the game can be found within one small hardback rulebook (pictured above). Your Games can even be played on a table with some brilliant terrain by Sarissa Precision as its backdrop!
So I, like a few others from the club have been swept up in the beauty and magic of this game and as such I have painted by first Warband… May I introduce you to Archibold’s Royalists Lads – A Royalists Warband for Burrows and Badgers.

Hope you like and Happy Wargaming! – 𝕳𝖊𝖆𝖉 💀
So as I so kindly put it in our first Warcry blog post – Warcry – The Iron Golem… Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few months you will have heard of Games Workshop’s latest offering for your tabletop…

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Warcry is a new skirmish game set in the world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Choose your warband, and fight thrilling, fast paced tactical skirmishes in one-off battles or across epic narrative campaigns where your warriors grow and develop.

Our Studio Team has been lucky enough to be given a commission by Hoist the Colours – Models & Games for 2 more warbands for Warcry, the first four is to complete was The Cypher Lords…
The Cypher Lords are a cunning Chaos Cult who make your average Tzeentch Arcanite look like a forthright pillar of honesty. Hailing from the city of Nochseed in the Realm of Light, the Cypher Lords worship Chaos in secret, combining the precision and agility common to inhabitants of Hysh with all manner of dark gifts.

Next up was the scariest of the Warcry Warbands to day, the Unmade…

Once upon a time, the Unmade were benevolent philosopher-kings renowned across the Realm of Death for their wisdom and nobility. Desperate to fight back the hordes of undead, the inhabitants of this land (a place known as Tzlid) were driven to worship the Chaos Gods – who promptly rewarded them by turning them into maniacal cultists obsessed with pain and mutilation.

Our Studio Team has been lucky enough to be given a commission by Hoist the Colours – Models & Games for the 2 warbands in the new Warcry Starter Set plus the random beasts/monsters found in the core set, the second of these Denizens of the Ruins/Chaotic Beasts that we have tackled are the Raptoryx!

To represent the Eightpoint’s varied (and violent) wildlife, many Warcry battleplan twist cards bring chaotic beasts into your battles. At launch, there are two types of chaotic beast that show up in your games – the airborne daemons known as Furies (more about these in our last blog post), and mutant avians called Raptoryx.
